Environment and Regeneration Directorate

The Environment and Regeneration Directorate consists of 6 divisions.

The council has a vision "to create a vibrant, inclusive, safe, sustainable and modern European city" and to further establish itself as a core city as well as the regional capital. At the same time, Bridging NewcastleGateshead’s success will help to ensure that sustainable regeneration becomes core business for Newcastle. The services provided by the Environment and Regeneration Directorate, are central to achieving the City’s vision and values in order to make sure we are in a position to manage and promote regeneration activity.

Regeneration Strategy

We have an annual award, 'The Bob Brown Youth Award', for employees aged 25 years or younger who have made an exceptional achievement either in their personal lives or at work. For this year's winners go to Bob Brown Awards for 2008.
