Signed up for our garden waste collection service but not yet received your sticker for this year?
Don’t worry. The new service does not start until Monday 13 May and you should receive your new sticker by then. If you were a customer last year don’t remove your yellow sticker until you have your new one to replace this with. Customers can sign up to this service at any time during the year. Whichever you are, you can be a greener gardener and recycle your waste with our garden waste collection service.
For just £20 per year we can collect your garden waste for you. It's hassle free, safe and kind to the environment too.
We've written to all our current customers to explain the renewal process for 2013/14. Direct debit customers there's no need to take any further action you'll automatically receive your new sticker and calendar. Customers who paid a one off amount last year you'll need to renew your subscription by 31st May 2013. If you do not pay by this date your collections will stop. Once you've paid you'll receive your new sticker and calendar.
If you have not joined the scheme in the past you can now pay to receive garden waste collections this year by ringing 0191 278 7878 and asking for Garden Waste. Once you have paid you will receive a sticker and calendar.
You will need your garden waste reference number to make a payment, this is displayed on your contact letter. If you do not have this please phone 0191 278 7878 and ask for Garden Waste or email: email@example.com, please provide your postal address when contacting us by email.
Direct Debit: The simplest, safest and most convenient way to pay. If you don't already pay by direct debit phone 0191 278 7878 and ask for Garden Waste; if you are the account holder you can now set up the direct debit over the phone.
Internet: To pay by debit or credit card* make a garden waste payment online.
Please enter your reference number starting with a 79 or 80 and 20.00 as the amount you are paying. The reference number is quoted in your letter confirming the service.
Pay by phone: To pay by debit or credit card* phone 0191 278 7878 and ask for Garden Waste. Available Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.
At our Customer Service Centres: Payments can be made by cash, cheque (made payable to Newcastle City Council) debit or credit card* between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm.
Credit card payments will incur a 2% charge.
Look up your bin collection dates on our online bin calendar, if you have recently joined the scheme we will write to you to confirm your new bin collection dates prior to them starting.
