If you want to understand exactly what is using all the electricity in your home, why not try using an energy monitor?

An energy monitor is an electronic device that you can use in your home that shows you in how much electricity you are using at any time. The monitor will help you identify which appliances are using the most energy and which items are still using electricity when you think they are turned off.

You attach the monitor's transmitter around the electricity meter cable within your electricity meter box at home. You keep the display unit inside your home. The transmitter sends information to the display unit, which  shows you how much electricity you are currently using. When you turn an appliance on or off, the display will show you how much your electricity usage changes. You can also see a running total of your electricity usage.
