Below is Newcastle's first comprehensive citywide climate change strategy and action plan. In 2008 we published the first part which focused on addressing climate change across Newcastle City Council operations (at end of page). This new strategy addresses the citywide agenda.

Consultation on this strategy was undertaken during July/August. Comments are now being taken on board, an amended strategy will be taken forward for approval at Executive in October and published on this page shortly.
The City Council and partners would like to develop an email database to communicate with stakeholders about relevant events and timely information. We will aim to limit these mails to monthly updates, but will from time to time send out individual mails. If you would like to receive these mails please submit your email address to climatechange@newcastle.gov.uk. We will not share your address with partners or to the wider list, but will offer the opportunity to circulate information on behalf of stakeholders.
