• Whatever type of bin that was due to be collected on Thursday July 10 will be collected on Thursday July 24.
  • Residents are asked not to put excess waste or recycling out next to their bin. No excess waste or recycling will be collected.
  • Excess waste can be taken to household waste recycling centres.
  • To minimise the risk of  odour, flies and vermin we strongly recommend that rubbish is double bagged and tightly sealed.
  • Do not put recyclable materials in your green bin. Recycle as much as possible in your blue bin and make sure your green bin is for residual waste only.
  • We have been able to negotiate and agree with Unions for a ‘catch-up’ service to be provided only for those people who have a large bin for medical waste. The people in the areas affected by the missed Thursday collections and who have a large bin for medical waste need to phone 0191 278 7878 to request this ‘catch up' service.
