Education for pupils needing support on medical grounds

Newcastle Bridges:
Educational provision for pupils unable to attend school due to physical or mental ill health or pregnancy is available at our community special school which is based in a hospital, Newcastle Bridges School.

The school is based on a variety of sites across the city and incorporates:

• Great Children's Hospital at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and Freeman Hospitals
• Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) at Ferndene and Prudhoe
• NBS at Kenton for pregnant schoolgirls, school aged mothers and school phobic pupils 
• Roycroft Unit - Adolescent Forensic Psychiatric Service
