The City Learning Centre facilities are available to school, local businesses, community groups and learners.

What is the City Learning Centre?

The City Learning Centre combines state-of-the-art facilities and expertise to provide learning opportunities to a large city-wide collaborative of schools (Nursery, Primary, Secondary and Special), the local community, local businesses and Newcastle learners.

The aim of the City Learning Centre is to enhance the learning opportunities for children and young people by:

  • improving access to, and use by pupils and adults to the latest education technology
  • improving attainment levels through the use of technology
  • increasing staying on rate
  • reducing truancy figures
  • improving employment prospects

We provide a prospectus of activities that schools can participate in every academic year. This prospectus explains which part of the curriculum the activities feed into.

The prospectus can be downloaded from the Newcastle City Learning Centre website: www.newcastleclc.org
