What can an apprenticeship do for your business?
Apprenticeships are a proven way to improve your workforce and can make your organisation more effective and competitive. You can train and develop your member of staff, reducing skills shortages even in the current economic climate. Apprenticeships can help you to develop the specialist skills you need to keep pace with the latest technology and working practices in your sector. Apprentices tend to be loyal, motivated and flexible within the company that invested in them.

What previous employers have said about the apprenticeship programme
"The Newcastle City Learning apprenticeship programme was particularly successful for us. Our apprentice joined us in 2008 in a receptionist role, initially for a 12 month period. We were so pleased with her performance we decided to extend this for a further 12 months, during which she completed a Level 2 and an Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration. It was clear to see that she was developing skills and knowledge and became a valued member of the administration team. A full-time, permanent administrative contract was confirmed for Sophie on 1st June 2010. I would have no hesitation in recommending Newcastle City Learning for a first class service." Gordon Quince, Managing Director, Interactive Development Limited
