Key Statistics For Newcastle
Through working with key partners, a Sustainable
Community Strategy (SCS) has been agreed setting out a vision for
developing and regenerating the City over the next ten years. This
is underpinned with our Local Area Agreement (LAA), agreed with
Government as the basis for a three year delivery strategy setting out priority
improvement targets until 2010/11. The Corporate Plan sets out the Council's strategic
direction, priorities and targets over the next three years. It also identifies
how we are meeting the commitments we have made to our partners and communities
in the SCS and LAA.
These webpages are structured around providing the
relevant information and statistics to support the aims of these key
documents and monitor progress over time. Data and maps are grouped by the
main SCS themes, with information presented on a range of indicators,
including the latest figures available and more detailed trends over
time. Information is available at both for the City as a whole, and
also Ward level, with a complete list of the most Frequently Asked Questions
(FAQs).
