Children's Trust Developments in Newcastle
The Children's Trust developments in Newcastle incorporates all of the arrangements made between agencies to achieve improved outcomes for children and young people.
A Children’s Trust does not have to be an organisation but does have to be a set of arrangements that promote cooperation between agencies working with children young people and their families, has a single outcomes led vision for children and young people, and develops integrated delivery, strategy, planning and commissioning.
The main functions of the Commissioning Partnerships are to commission and decommission services for the particular group or community the partnership is set up to serve with respect to the priorities for the Newcastle Plan for Children and Young People. Newcastle has a strong history of working in partnership. Not only have we found that it works but also it is in line with government legislation. The drive and commitment of staff and the support of agencies allow us to deliver more and better outcomes for children and young people in Newcastle. This partnership handbook aims to support the excellent work that already exists and also to assist new partnerships in the early stages of development.
