Monday Evening Reading Group at the Lit. & Phil.

We meet in the Library of the Literary and Philosophical Society on Westgate Road, normally on the 1st Monday each month, 6:30pm – 7:30pm.

Graphic Novels Readers' GroupLogo of Readers of the Lost Art Graphic Novel Readers Group

The Newcastle Graphic Novels Readers' Group now meets at the Literary and Philosophical Society on Westgate Road. We meet every two weeks on a Tuesday between 6:00 - 7:30pm. New members are always welcome and you don't have to have read the book of the month to join us at one of our meetings.

VIP Reading Group, Monday afternoon

This group is for the visually impaired  and meets on the 1st Monday each month 1.00pm – 2.30pm in Room 5, 5th Floor, MEA House, Ellison Place, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 8XG.

It is run by library staff in partnership with Newcastle Society for Blind People (NSBP). We are a small, friendly group. We listen to books on tape, mainly fiction and biographies. At our meetings we discuss the books and many other things besides!

Read is a great place to start to get into books and reading online and helps bring readers together, either to meet up face to face or on the web.
Here you can meet with others online to talk about your favourite and less favourite reads.
