Specialist equipment for independent living

We can provide equipment and adaptations for disabled and older people to help you to live at home independently. You will need an assessment by adult services to get this service. Contact our Adult Social Care Direct Team to ask for an assessment.

Minor equipment and adptations to help you live at home independently

Following an assesment our Equipment Direct Team can provide a range of equipment such as bathing equipment, bannister rails and rails to help you get in and out of your home.

If you need major adaptations to your home or specialist equipment we may refer you to our Occupational Therapy Team.

Our Sensory Support Team can provide specialist equipment for people who are deaf, blind, deafblind, hard of hearing or partially sighted.

Equipment to help with your mobility

If you need mobility equipment such as walking aids, walking sticks or a wheelchair you should contact your doctor (GP).
