This service is responsible for:
children whose name have been placed on the child protection register who are at risk of significant harm,
children who have become newly accommodated,
assessment and monitoring of extended family arrangements for looking after children.
This service will be responsible for:

completing the core assessment for children looked after,

The Leaving Care Team provides a dedicated service to looked after children over 16 years and care leavers, and will have statutory responsibility for all looked after children to the age of 18. They also have a responsibility to provide support and advice to those children up to the age of 21 and to 24 for those in further education.
