WEB FM is one community radio broadcast run by Community Broadcast Initiative Tyneside (CBIT) in partnership with local community groups.

CBIT has been established to promote the use of community radio as a vehicle for learning, creative expression and celebration.

Communities across the City have hosted radio broadcasts from Scotswood to Cowgate, Gala Fields to Daisy Hill.  Community radio has proved extremely successful at attracting a diverse range of people from communities across the City.

People can engage with a broadcast at many levels; as broadcasters, researchers and journalists, as presenters and as guest speakers. This experience can be backed up with basic skill qualifications as well as an invitation to join the ever expanding membership of CBIT.
