Newcastle City Council believes that participation in the arts helps create a city within which all people can achieve their potential - a city that is inclusive and democratic.

Guided by the Newcastle Plan, The Arts Development Team creates partnerships from which a wide range of participatory arts programs spring.

Participants from communities across Newcastle are at the centre of this presentation. It is through their actions and their words that the teams work and its impact is judged.
