DisabledGo Newcastle - an Access Guide for NewcastleDisabledGo - Newcastle is a free online Access Guide which provides access information about 500 venues across the city.
Visit the website at www.disabledgo.com
The guide provides information on all sorts of buildings, from leisure centres and libraries, to hotels and tourist attractions. There are two types of access assessments that can be undertaken; one provides quite comprehensive information with accompanying pictures (Detailed Access Guide), whilst the other primarily includes symbols (Key Access Review).
The detailed access information provided within the Guide will help enable disabled people to assess whether services and facilities are accessible to their particular needs. We will also be producing a smaller Access Brochure as part of this initiative in the coming year.
