Newcastle Citizens Advice Bureau and the council’s Council Tax, Welfare Rights, Money Matters and Income Generator teams are working together to help customers manage their council tax payments. We‘ll be holding council tax debt management clinics during the next few months where staff will give you independent advice, help arrange suitable payment plans, help to maximise your income through benefits and help resolve other debt problems.
We really want to help you through difficult times. Attending a clinic to discuss payment plans and financial circumstances may help you avoid council tax recovery and bailiff action.
The clinics will take place at:
Civic Centre Customer Service Centre
Wednesdays - 8.30 to 11am on 22 February, 21 March and 18 April
East End Customer Service Centre
Wednesdays - 4.30 to 7pm on 22 February, 21 March and 18 April
West End Customer Service Centre
Thursdays - 8.30 to 11am and 4.30 to 7pm on 23 February, 22 March and 19 April.
