The second round of the Newcastle Fund was launched on 1 September 2011 at the Newcastle Funding Fayre held at St James Park. Over 300 representatives of groups and organisations from the community and voluntary sector in Newcastle attended. Five funders held fund specific workshops and partcipants were able to access advice and information from the 16 organisations running stalls at the event.
The event was opened by the Deputy Leader of the Council, Councillor Joyce McCarty and the CXO of Newcastle Council for Voluntary Service, Sally Young.
